Benedicto Fonseca Filho is a notable Brazilian politician. He has served in embassies in Washington, D.C., Buenos Aires, Argentina, Accra, Ghana, Tel Aviv, Israel, and Praia, Cape Verde. He also served in the United Nations Mission in New York, and later became Consul General at the Boston Consulate.

Fonseca Filho has participated in numerous international forums on Internet Governance, including the IGF (Internet Governance Forum), the WSIS process, the CSTD (Commission on Science and Technology for Development), the GAC of ICANN (Governmental Advisory Committee), and Netmundial.
