The forum is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. Registration is now open.
Issues concerning information security, development of the digital economy, international cooperation and the introduction of technical innovation will be the main topics at RIGF 2020. Experts will also discuss the establishment of the internet governance ecosystem in Russia as well as its main features and try to imagine how global internet governance will look in the future.
2020 marks another Runet anniversary: the second Russian ccTLD, .РФ, will celebrate its 10th anniversary on May 12, and, of course, the forum will highlight this topic, too. The participants will discuss how internationalized domain names are developing in Russia and all over the world and what must be done in order to make their introduction and use universal.
The forum will carry on the tradition of actively involving new participants in the global internet management process. Special events for those who are only beginning to discover the global internet management process will be held at RIGF 2020. These will include introductory presentations on the history, the current state and the development prospects of internet governance, presented by distinguished experts from all over the world.
And, of course, the Virtuti Interneti award ceremony and a lecture from the winner of the internet order will take place as part of RIGF 2020. The winner’s name will only be announced during the forum.
