Registration for RIGF 2021 opens
The 11th Russian Internet Governance Forum will be held online on April 7-9, 2021
Among the main topics of RIGF 2021 are information security, internet trust, regulation of social networks, data sovereignty, the use of artificial intelligence and many other current topics related to internet development and the establishment of an internet governance ecosystem in Russia and in the world. Many of these topics were proposed by future conference participants – until January 31, 2021, anyone who has something to say about internet development can contribute to the RIGF 2021 program. Individuals can propose topics for speeches and discussions on the forum website. The final program will be drawn up after processing the proposed topics and taking into account the global trends announced at the global IGF.
The forum will continue the practice of involving new participants in the process of global internet governance. The forum also includes a youth track, which has already begun. Students, graduates and recent graduates interested in the development and use of the internet and technologies are invited to participate in it. The youth track will discuss the main issues from the RIGF program. The outcome of the discussions will be Youth Messages, which will be presented at the final RIGF session on April 9, 2021.
And, of course, the Virtuti Interneti award ceremony and a lecture by the internet order winner will take place at RIGF 2021. The winner will be announced on April 7 at RIGF 2021.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the Russian Internet Governance Forum was not held; the organizing committee decided to postpone the forum to 2021 due to the unstable epidemiological situation and in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and interests of forum guests and participants.
Pre-registration is required to participate in RIGF 2021. Participation is free.
We are looking forward to seeing you at RIGF 2021.
