The 11th Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF 2020) is scheduled for April 7, 2020, but due to the outbreak of the coronavirus the forum’s organizer, the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, plans to revise the forum program emphasizing online participation of RIGF 2020 foreign speakers.

“We are closely monitoring the epidemiological situation in Russia and the world due to the outbreak of the coronavirus; the protection of the health of Russians, guests and participants at the forum is our top priority. We will try to make participation in RIGF 2020 as safe as possible for our guests and speakers, and we hope that our technical capacities will allow us to stick to the principles of multistakeholderism the modern internet governance is based upon, and we will hear the opinions of all the interested sides: both Russian and foreign,” said Coordination Center Director Andrei Vorobyev.

The RIGF 2020 organizers do not rule out that the forum will be postponed to a later date.
