Registration opens for RIGF 2026

According to the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, registration is now open for the 16th Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF 2026).

On April 7, the forum will be held at Soglasiye Hall, with online sessions following on April 8.

The event traditionally involves leading internet experts as well as representatives of state agencies, the business community and public organizations involved in internet regulation issues.

This year, the key issues to be discussed by participants and experts include:

  • The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) + 20 and the development of information society;
  • the impact of AI on reshaping traditional processes;
  • cultural diversity and the preservation of the cultural code;
  • the digital transformation of the healthcare system;
  • new approaches toward the digital safety and security of children;
  • the development of sovereign cloud storage facilities;
  • the evolution of international approaches toward regulating generative AI.

Additionally, the forum participants will take part in the Virtuti Interneti awards ceremony and will also attend a traditional lecture by the recipient.

The detailed program is available on the forum’s website.

Participation is free. All attendees should register in advance.

Participants in the offline event can register until April 1, 2026. Due to the number of seats being limited by the facility’s capacity, in-person registration may close earlier than scheduled.

The event is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ jointly with the Center for Global IT Cooperation. The Technical Center of Internet acts as the forum’s general partner, and TASS new agency is its information partner. The event’s strategic partner is the Russian Research Institute for the Development of Public Networks (RIPN), and another partner includes Runity.
