Registration for the 9th Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF 2018), which will be held on April 6, 2018 in St. Petersburg, is now open. The forum was organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ.
In 2018, RIGF will continue its practice of actively involving new participants into the process of Internet governance. The event’s guests and speakers from all over the world will formulate the latest trends in Internet governance and discuss the new challenges that participants of this process are yet to overcome. The forum will consist of several sessions dedicated to the issues to do with Internet security, development of the digital economy, and topics concerning international cooperation and technological innovations as well.
As part of a long-standing tradition, special events will be held for those who are just getting to know the process of global Internet governance. On April 5, the forum’s speakers will deliver lectures, which have already become a tradition, in the largest St. Petersburg universities. Students will be able to learn more about the history of Internet governance, the current state of affairs, as well as the prospects of development and governance of the global network.
