Roman is a seasoned legal practitioner specializing in technology/IP, antitrust, internet, platforms, machine learning, and AI regulation. He possesses diverse in-house, private practice, and academic experience. Roman is a graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University; he also has a master’s degree from Berkeley Law (LL.M., 2017), where he focused on Law & Technology and Antitrust.
Roman authored several publications on intellectual property issues, the legal status of search engine operators, technology transfer, and antitrust on digital markets. He regularly gives presentations on topical issues in information technology, antitrust and internet regulation. Roman received one of the ‘Best Lecturers and Class Instructors’ (2018 and 2019) award selected by the students of the HSE’s Law Faculty. Roman was also included in GC Powerlist Russia (2019) and awarded GCR Behavioral Matter of the Year (2019). He is a member of the Antimonopoly Experts Association.
