Mikhail Kurakin has built an extensive career in journalism, working with a wide range of media outlets and radio stations, including Moskovsky Komsomolets, Podmoskovye, News Online radio, Voice of Russia, and Finam-FM, as well as in online media Lenta.ru, and Zvezda television and radio company, among others.
In 2008-2011, he was part of the Kremlin press pool, covering major international forums involving the President and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
He won the Radiomania Award (2003, 2004, as co-author) and has been a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia since 2000. He has also been awarded the Union’s honorary badge For Merit.
In 2009, by the President Executive Order, he was awarded the Order For Merit to the Fatherland, 2nd class.
