Maria Bolshakova
From September 2015 to April 2024, she held various positions at the Radio Research Institute. In April 2024, she joined the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications, and by June 2024, she was appointed Deputy Director General of the Commonwealth. She graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University with a bachelor’s degree in Oriental and African Studies and earned a master’s degree in International Relations with honors from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
She has actively participated in numerous international forums and organizations, gaining extensive experience in meetings of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the ITU Council, its Working Parties and Expert Groups, as well as the UN ECOSOC Commission on Science and Technology for Development, the OECD Digital Economy Policy Committee, APEC, and others. Currently, she represents the region’s unified positions on high-level matters at the ITU and the Universal Postal Union.
