Semed Semedov is the author of more than 200 academic works on international, philosophical, economic, political, and religious matters, including 10 monographs, a number of collective research contributions, 12 textbooks and methodological guides, and 46 articles in journals issued by the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles, 28 of those published in the past five years. He is actively involved in academic conferences on international relations.

He is an expert of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation; member of the Russia-Belarus Scientific Council; member of the Expert Council of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs; member of the Academic Council of the Institute of Management at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA); and member of the editorial board of several scientific journals such as MIR, News of the Udmurt State University, and News of the University of World Civilizations.

He also chairs the Dissertation Council for Philosophical Sciences in the specialty 5.7.9., Philosophy of Religion and Religious Studies; the specialty 5.7.8., Philosophical Anthropology and Philosophy of Culture at RANEPA; and in the specialty 5.5.4., International Relations and Global and Regional Problems at RANEPA.

He serves as Academic Supervisor of the International Economic Cooperation master’s program. Under his guidance, 13 PhD candidates and 2 doctoral candidates have successfully defended their dissertations.

As of 2026, he supervises seven first-year graduate students in the International Relations program (5.5.4), as well as three PhD candidates and one doctoral candidate.

He is also an expert contributor to Rossiya-24 and Zvezda television and radio broadcasting companies. In collaboration with Rossiya-24, he has participated in the production of more than 30 episodes of the World in Your Hand documentary series, focusing on World War II and major international events.
